Raising kids with faith and character doesn’t have to be difficult. Parent Cue gives you four simple ways to connect with the heart of your child each week.

You already know a thing or two about life, character, faith, and what it takes to be the human you were created to be. If you’re like most parents, you want to pass on that knowledge to your kids whether they are three years old, seven, or seventeen.

But sometimes the day-to-day pace of parenting crowds out the intentional conversations we want to have with our kids. Where do we start? When do we find the time? How do we know if we’re being successful?

With Parent Cue, you never have to parent alone. Parent Cue is a team of family experts and everyday parents working together to provide the support you need so you can be the parent you want to be.

We developed the Parent Cue App to specifically help you raise kids in faith and character by strengthening the relational rhythm of your home, elevating important topics of conversation, and connecting you with local leaders who can support your family beyond this digital space.

To strengthen the relational rhythm of your home, Parent Cue App gives you four cues each week to help you connect with the heart of your child. Each cue is strategically designed for the age of the child you are raising and helps you develop family patterns that will enhance your long-term relationship with your child over time. .

To elevate important topics of conversation, the Parent Cue App gives you monthly topics on faith and character so you can incorporate big ideas into everyday life. To support each monthly idea, Parent Cue updates with weekly Bible story videos, memory verses, devotional experiences, and more based on the age of the child you are raising.

To connect you with local leaders, Parent Cue App partners with over 34,000 churches around the world. To find your church, or discover a church that partners with the Parent Cue strategy, use the simple “church finder” feature and sync your profile with a local ministry. Once you have associated with a church, you will receive all important updates, notifications, events, etc… from that ministry.

There are 936 weeks from the time a child is born until they turn 18 and move on to what’s next. These 936 weeks are unlike any other time in a person’s life. They lay the foundation of faith and character. They are the groundwork of establishing identity, belonging, and purpose.

Parent Cue helps every caregiver count the weeks, so you can make the weeks really count.

Pros and cons of Parent Cue app for iPhone and iPad

Parent Cue app good for

The Parent Cue App is a fantastic compliment to the 252 Orange Curriculum. Each week there are new videos (including the Feature Presentation Story version of the Bible Story with Intro and Outro), activity ideas, discussion starters and music that reinforce the virtue taught in the 252 curriculum that week. There are podcasts and articles that are helpful, useful and encouraging for parents too. Even if you do not use the Orange Curriculum, the Parent Cue is a helpful resource for helping to impress virtues and a Christian worldview on your children. For only $2/year, I would definitely recommend it to all parents!
Perfect tool for connecting the church + home. This updated app really assists me as a family pastor to come alongside of the family and reinforce the churches role. Thank you Orange for being innovative.
I LOVE having access to the Parent Cue on my phone! It totally helps me be the involved parent I want to be and gives me amazing tools to do it competently. If I had one suggestion it would be to have access to the monthly memory verses. Our church runs a reward program and it would be very handy to have those at my fingertips all the time. But otherwise, I recommend to all parents!!
I love how when there is a lull in our busy lives (5 kids) I can check what the kids are learning in Sunday School and engage them in meaningful conversation throughout the week. We watch the videos together, pray together, have conversations about hospitality and Jesus with engaging activities. I especially love the Parent Cue (previously orange parent) blogs. They always seem to hit me where I am at.
Bedtime, Drive Time, and bath time ideas that reinforce and keep the lessons we learn on Sunday ongoing through the week. Its a great help for me since I have minimal time to plan anything during the week. Try it out!!! Its work the $!

Some bad moments

While I love having our church curriculum at the drop of a hat, and I love having access to supplementing what my kids are learning at church, this app has been a serious problem for our house! My kids love to watch their "bible stories, memory verse and song" before nap & bedtime. They do not understand when the app doesnt get updated to the current months curriculum! We are at least a week into the new month and it is STILL not updated! This is extremely disappointing to children. I certainly hope our church isnt paying for this product! The customer service is NON existent! So frustrated and disappointed.
Does not ask me to activate push notifications. Does not appear in notification settings to adjust. App support in App Store not working.
App does not work at all... Freezes... Very sad cause old app was good
I was excited about the redesign but trying to use it has been a pain. I already *paid* for this app, so why am I now being asked to pay more? While I think the app was cheap to begin with (you couldve charged me 4.99 for all the benefits I got), now I feel Im getting gauged: the Cue Box at $12 bucks each month, the app subscription (I have an elementary-aged child and a preschooler) at another $4 a month.... are you kidding me? Please fix!!!!
Oh, I SO wanted to love this app- Ive been waiting a LONG time for the Preschool content. When I had the old app just on my iPod touch, it worked just fine. Then, the old app moved onto my iPhone and never sent the "push" notifications I really wanted. This "New", "Updated" version is even worse. No push notifications, and almost none of the content actually shows up. I chose the "Elementary" version because I have two kids in that age-range, but I also have a preschooler. I have TRIED to buy access to that content, but the "button" doesnt work. I press it and nothing happens- same for the monthly content. Although, I have to agree.......why are we now paying for what was free before? The idea that they are going to charge families monthly for the content sort of flies in the face of "we are here to partner with parents". I dont feel partnered with- I feel a bit taken advantage of. As a Childrens Ministry Director- between the problems with the app and the fact that we now have to pay for monthly content, I am no longer going to recommend this app. Its really disappointing too, because this could have been SO good- such a perfect tool in the hands of parents. I REALLY hope they correct al these issues and try again. The only positive thing I have to say is that the new, more colorful design looks GREAT. Too bad there is no content to make it worth looking at.
This app was recommended to me. Seeing only 2 stars made me raise my eyebrows. Paid money anyways but immediately regret it. Maybe its just this version, but the app only launches 5% of the time and has never worked correctly. Save your money and get with your church for curriculum.
